Dinámicas contemporáneas en la construcción de subjetividades: Digitalidad, alt-right, comunidad

De un tiempo a esta parte, la universidad nacional argentina no ha podido resolver ni 1) las grandes tasas de deserción en los primeros años universitarios, ni 2) la adaptación del estudiantado ingresante a las dinámicas y exigencias propias de una carrera universitaria. El objetivo político de una educación de calidad, laica, gratuita y popular no puede desatender estas problemáticas. En este trabajo ensayaremos la delimitación de un conjunto de espacios problemáticos en los Ingresos Universitarios, muchos de ellos referidos a las dinámicas contemporáneas de construcción de subjetividades alineadas al mundo digital; del mismo modo, intentaremos definir los objetivos, los alcances y los límites de políticas a corto plazo que permitan subsanar problemas acuciantes del campo educacional.For some time now, the Argentine national university has not been able to solve either 1) the high dropout rates in the first years of university, or 2) the adaptation of the entering students to the dynamics and demands of a university career. The political objective of a quality, secular, free and popular education cannot neglect these problems. In this paper we will try to delimit a set of problematic spaces in university admissions, many of them referred to the contemporary dynamics of construction of subjectivities aligned to the digital world; in the same way, we will try to define the objectives, the scope and the limits of short-term policies that allow to solve pressing problems in the educational field.Há algum tempo, a universidade nacional argentina não consegue resolver 1) as altas taxas de deserção nos primeiros anos da universidade, nem 2) a adaptação do corpo discente ingressante às dinâmicas e demandas da carreira universitária. Notas para el estudio del cine de ciencia ficción contemporáneo (2008-2022). Política: distopía, organización, revolución

El cinema contemporani de ciència-ficció se'ns mostra avui com un gènere que semblaria posar en dubte el relat de la irrevocabilitat del capitalisme, del capitalisme que es narra a si mateix com a fi de la història i com a episodi necessari d'una història natural i teologitzada de l'home en comunitat. Així, la ciència-ficció, com potser en cap altre gènere, fa pràctica la pregunta sobre els mons possibles pel fet de prendre com a matèria primera, i a vegades de manera inconscient, el pols de les fugides ideològiques del capitalisme contemporani. Les preguntes que ens interessa resoldre al llarg d'aquest treball són, doncs, en què es reconeixen aquestes crisis polítiques «reals» en les expressions de la ciència-ficció contemporània? De quina manera es troben modelitzades i de quines formes, si n'hi hagués, es resolen narrativament?Contemporary science fiction cinema appears as a genre that would seem to call into question the story of the irrevocability of capitalism, a capitalism that narrates itself as the end of history and as a necessary episode of a natural and teleologized history of man in community. Thus, science fiction, as perhaps in no other genre, makes practical the question about possible worlds by taking as raw material, and sometimes unconsciously, the pulse of the ideological vanishing points of contemporary capitalism. The questions that we are interested in resolving throughout this work are, then, how are these “real” political crises recognized in the expressions of contemporary science fiction? In what way are they modeled and in what ways, if any, are they resolved narratively?El cine contemporáneo de ciencia ficción se nos muestra hoy como un género que parecería poner en tela de juicio el relato de la irrevocabilidad del capitalismo, del capitalismo que se narra a sí mismo como fin de la historia y como episodio necesario de una historia natural y teleologizada del hombre en comunidad. Así, la ciencia ficción, como tal vez en ningún otro género, hace práctica la pregunta acerca de los mundos posibles al tomar como materia prima, y a veces de forma inconsciente, el pulso de las fugas ideológicas del capitalismo contemporáneo. Las preguntas que nos interesa resolver a lo largo de este trabajo son, pues, ¿en qué se reconocen estas crisis políticas «reales» en las expresiones de la ciencia ficción contemporánea? ¿De qué manera se encuentran modelizadas y de qué formas, de haberlas, se resuelven narrativamente

Epistemology of Literary Theory: Object and Method in Russian Formalism

En el presente trabajo se analizará desde una perspectiva althusseriana el objeto de estudio y la metodología del formalismo ruso. En primera instancia se intentará abordar el problema de la “abstracción científica”, como así también los sucesivos acercamientos por parte de la escuela formal a la definición, relativamente estable a lo largo de sus años de actividad, del objeto y el método de estudio. En segunda instancia se intentarán abordar dos principios fundamentales del formalismo ruso (el de la existencia efectiva de los textos literarios y el de la presuposición de una literaturiedad), atendiendo no solo a sus implicancias epistemológicas, sino también al impacto que estos dos principios tuvieron en la teoría literaria de principios de siglo xx.In the present work the object of study and the methodology of Russian formalism will be analyzed from an Althusserian perspective. In the first instance, we will try to address the problem of “scientific abstraction”, as well as the successive approaches by the formal school to the definition, relatively stable throughout its years of activity, of the object and the method of study. H. P. Lovecraft: materialismo y antropogénesis

This article tries to address the work of American writer H. P. Lovecraft as a symptomatic experience of the antihumanism of the XX century. For that purpose, it is intended, at first, to critically approach the set of questions that the philosophy of idealist spirit borrowed from religion (the question on the inception and demise of the world); secondly, a return from the circumvention, to notice how the materialist tradition and certain literary tradition, from a different standpoint, tackled these questions. In the context of the addressing of these questionings, we will analyze the innovations that Lovecraft’s literature brought about for the fantastic horror genre, among which noticeable are the problems of mythology, the individual and knowledge.Este artículo pretende abordar la obra literaria del escritor estadounidense H. P. Lovecraft como experiencia sintomática del antihumanismo del siglo XX. Para ello se intentará realizar, en primera instancia, un acercamiento crítico al conjunto de preguntas que la filosofía de impronta idealista tomó prestadas de la religión (la pregunta acerca del origen y del fin del mundo); en segunda instancia, un regreso del rodeo, para observar cómo la tradición materialista y cierta tradición literaria, desde una problemática diferente, trabajó estas preguntas. En el marco del tratamiento de estos cuestionamientos se abordarán las innovaciones que la literatura lovecraftiana aportó al género fantástico de terror, entre las cuales figuran los problemas de la mitología, del sujeto y del conocimiento

Russian formalism and scientific abstraction: the assumptions of the eternity of literature and the ‘exposed Totality’

En el presente trabajo se analizará desde una perspectiva althusseriana el objeto de estudio y la metodología del formalismo ruso. En primera instancia se intentará abordar el problema de la “abstracción científica”, como así también los sucesivos acercamientos por parte de la escuela formal a la definición, relativamente estable a lo largo de sus años de actividad, del objeto y el método de estudio. The category of history in russian formalism

En el presente trabajo se intentará realizar un acercamiento crítico al tratamiento, por parte del formalismo, de la categoría de la historia. En la medida en el que el formalismo ruso se resiste, por su carácter heterogéneo, a ser reducido a un conjunto laxo de principios, intentaremos observar el modo en el que la categoría de la historia fue trabajada (con sus respectivas revisiones y mutaciones) a lo largo de los años de actividad de la escuela formal. En este marco, destacaremos las implicancias epistemológicas de cada una de estas posiciones, sin perder de vista el conjunto de discursos filosóficos y científicos en boga en la Unión Soviética de los años ?20.In the present work we will try to make a critical approach to the treatment, by the russian formalism, of the category of history. To the extent that russian formalism resists, because of its heterogeneous nature, to be reduced to a lax set of principles, we will try to observe the way in which the category of the history was worked (with their respective revisions and mutations) throughout the years of formal school activity. Apuntes para una historiografía epistémico-nocional de la literatura y la teoría literaria. Primer problema: la “naturaleza de los filósofos”

In this paper we will try, based on the contributions of Juan Carlos Rodríguez Gómez (and his ideas about the radical historicity of literature and literary theory), to define the general lines of a new research project. The objective of this new project is to define the general objectives, the epistemological foundations and the methodological tools for a new epistemological and conceptual historiography of literature and literary theory. Under Rodríguez Gómez's thesis of the radical historicity of literature, we will delve into a set of experiences from the ancient world and Modernity that separate literary theory and literature from their respective "pre-histories". Starting from the Nature category of (according to) the philosophers, inspired by the contributions of the Althusserian school, we will approach these cuts through three concepts dear to the history of art and to art as such: Nature, that of mimesis and that of representation.En el presente trabajo intentaremos, partiendo de los aportes de Juan Carlos Rodríguez Gómez (y sus ideas acerca de la radical historicidad de la literatura y de la teoría literaria), delimitar las líneas generales de un nuevo proyecto de investigación. El objetivo de este nuevo proyecto es el de definir los objetivos generales, los fundamentos epistemológicos y las herramientas metodológicas para una nueva historiografía epistemológica y conceptual de la literatura y de la teoría literaria. Bajo la tesis de Rodríguez Gómez de la radical historicidad de la literatura, ahondaremos en un conjunto de experiencias del mundo antiguo y Modernidad que separan a la teoría literaria y a la literatura de sus respectivas “pre-historias”. Cignoni y la sombra del silencio aturdidor: La epopeya del poeta avanzado hacia la nada en <i>Ceros de la lengua</i>

El siguiente trabajo plantea un análisis de la relación que el poeta entabla con el lenguaje en Ceros de la lengua, de Roberto Cignoni. A través de este recorrido, los aportes teóricos de Giorgio Agamben sobre el silencio y la glosolalia habilitan una lectura hermenéutica de la experiencia de la poesía. Como hipótesis, sostenemos que en la obra de Cignoni las palabras se edifican alrededor del abismo del silencio y de él nacen. Nuestro objetivo es dilucidar el camino por el cual el poeta naufraga voluntariamente en ese silencio valiéndose de las mismas palabras, para concluir que, como Heidegger arriesga, la experiencia del lenguaje se realiza allí donde los nombres nos faltan

Detecting Areas of Potential High Prevalence of Chagas in Argentina

A map of potential prevalence of Chagas disease (ChD) with high spatial disaggregation is presented. It aims to detect areas outside the Gran Chaco ecoregion (hyperendemic for the ChD), characterized by high affinity with ChD and high health vulnerability. To quantify potential prevalence, we developed several indicators: an Affinity Index which quantifies the degree of linkage between endemic areas of ChD and the rest of the country. We also studied favorable habitability conditions for Triatoma infestans, looking for areas where the predominant materials of floors, roofs and internal ceilings favor the presence of the disease vector. We studied determinants of a more general nature that can be encompassed under the concept of Health Vulnerability Index. These determinants are associated with access to health providers and the socio-economic level of different segments of the population. Finally we constructed a Chagas Potential Prevalence Index (ChPPI) which combines the affinity index, the health vulnerability index, and the population density. We show and discuss the maps obtained. These maps are intended to assist public health specialists, decision makers of public health policies and public officials in the development of cost-effective strategies to improve access to diagnosis and treatment of ChD.Comment: Proceedings of the 2019 World Wide Web Conference. Impact of a public health intervention for active surveillance and mitigation of SARS-CoV-2 in a district from Buenos Aires province, Argentina: a descriptive epidemiological study

Background The first case of SARS-CoV-2 was reported in Argentina on 3 March 2020. Measures to limit the spread of the virus were implemented, including complete lockdown (26 March). Nonetheless, the virus spread throughout the country, with a first peak of almost a million cases in October. On 30 November, the government's recommendation switched from social, preventive and compulsory isolation, to social, preventive and compulsory distancing. Objectives To describe a tailored public health strategy to mitigate the spread of SARS-CoV-2 and determine its behaviour in San Antonio de Areco district from Buenos Aires province (Argentina) through a private-public association. Design, setting and participants Surveillance of the virus was performed with the local healthcare system, through early identification of cases and the systematic study of each infected individual and contact, regardless of symptomatology, using telemedicine and a COVID-19-specific outpatient clinic. Real-time PCR was used for detection using both individual and pooled samples, with a 12-hour turnaround time. Results Up to 30 November, a total of 2426 suspected cases were analysed and 578 were confirmed. Surveillance of health personnel and at-risk populations proved effective, mitigating viral spread. Pooling samples allowed reduction of operator time, helped reduce costs, and allowed detection of both symptomatic and asymptomatic cases. Conclusion After 8 months of protocol implementation, the strategy to intensively survey groups at higher epidemiological risk and the systematic search for asymptomatic cases with the incorporation of pooled PCR for diagnosis, in combination with individual testing, is an efficient and viable option in populations with similar characteristics, in the frame of social isolation.Fil: Crudo, Favio.
